Odisha-Born Sculptor Gadadhar Ojha To Represent India At Israel’s International Sculpture Symposium
Bhubaneswar:Once again, Odisha-born sculptor Gadadhar Ojha will be making India proud by representing it at the First International Sculpture Symposium to be held at Ganey Tikva, Israel. He has been invited to grace the event from March 1 to 19.
Gadadhar, a renowned stone sculptor of India, was born and brought up in the beautiful seaside village of Gorh Bangor in Odisha’s Puri district. The picturesque nature, the rich culture and tradition of the state moulded his imagination and drew him towards art.
Presently, Gadadhar resides in the Mecca of Art, Paris and continues to make exclusive art pieces with a wide range of materials including all kinds of stone granite, marble, sandstone, wood, metal, ice, snow and bronze.
Speaking about his love for sculpting, Gadadhar said, “But I still prefer stone over all of them because they express my ideas the best.”
Earlier, sculptor Gadadhar Ojha had represented India in international symposiums held at France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Finland, Denmark, Romania, Russia, Austria, Argentina, Canada, Cyprus, Lituania, Armenia, Crete (Greece), Mexico, Sultanate of Oman, Israel, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Montenegro.
