Bhubaneswar: Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) has decided to conduct online exams for even-numbered intermediate semesters. The second-semester exams for various courses like BPharma, BTech, MBA and MCA will also be conducted in September.
“In pursuance to the decision taken in the Extraordinary Board of Management meeting held on 31.08.2020, it is for the information of all concerned that the University will conduct Even Intermediate Semesters Regular / Back [Excluding Distinct Back Subject (s)] Examinations: 2019-20 in Online mode with Open Book (Innovative & Outcome Based Education) which was postponed till further order on account of COVID-19 pandemic” an official notification stated.
Online examinations for the intermediate semesters will be treated as regular exam. Any student who fails, remains absent, does not appear or register for the exam in any subject or all subjects will have to carry back papers in that concerned subject.
The University added students who have back papers in their intermediate semesters will be allowed to register and appear for the online examinations of intermediate semesters along with regular students.
“The semester wise schedule for Trial Test and online examinations shall be notified in a phased manner. Further, the 2nd Semester of B.Tech, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, and 2nd, 8th Semester B.Arch course online examinations will be conducted in September 2020,” the notification informed.
