Bhubaneswar: A BSF jawan from Odisha allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself using his service revolver at Patiram in Bengal, where he was posted, on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Sagar Gouda, a native of Jhilik village under Mohana block in Gajapati.
According to sources, some jawans spotted Sagar in a pool of blood this morning and informed officials.
The body will be sent to his native place after post-mortem, sources said. Further investigation is under way.
