Puri: A Burmese python was recused at Basudebpur village in Puri district on Sunday.
The 10-ft-long reptile was found trapped in a fishing net of some locals in a nullah at the village. They informed the snake helpline, which rescued the python stuck in the fishing net and handed it over to the forest department, sources said.
It is suspected to have floated down to the nullah in the floodwaters of Bhargavi river.
