Odisha Cabinet Approves Creation Of 120 Group-A Posts
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has enhanced the cadre strength of Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) at Group-A level.
The state Cabinet at a meeting, presided by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday, approved creation of 120 Group-A posts in lieu of abolition of 94 posts at base level. The decision was taken for effective monitoring and implementation of various schemes/programmes under different departments and timely delivery of public services as per mandates of 5T and Mo Sarkar.
On restructuring of cadre, total strength of posts under Group A are as follows:
Similarly, in order to gear up the administration by providing experienced senior secretarial supporting staff to the
officers in the Secretariat, the government has decided to upgrade 25 posts in the grade of Senior Private Secretary (11 posts), Principal Private Secretary (8 posts), Senior Principal Private Secretary (5 posts) and Superintendent & ex-officio Additional Secretary (1 post) in lieu of abolition of 25 vacant posts i.e. Junior Executive Assistant (9 posts), Senior Executive Assistant (9 posts), Personal Assistant (4 posts) and Private Secretary (3 posts) from Group-C and Group-B posts in the Odisha Secretariat Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant/Private Secretary cadre in Home Department.
