Odisha Cabinet Approves Upgrading Of IT Software On State Work, Rs 491 Cr For OUAT

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at 10 am on Friday cleared three proposals.

Besides deciding to defer its earlier decision to allow transfer of tribal land to non-tribals and place the matter before Tribes Advisory Council for reconsideration, two proposals of Department of Electronics and Information Technology and the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment have received the go-ahead.

PROPOSALS

>> Upgrading Odisha State Workflow Automation System (OSWAS), an advanced IT solution introduced to bring in enhanced transparency and accountability in transaction of government business. The IT solution automates the functions at all levels of the administrative hierarchy of government for smooth functioning and timely delivery of services while speeding up decision-making. The proposed improvement is aimed at taking efficiency level of governance to a higher level under the 5T framework and ensuring a citizen-friendly transparent system.

>> A sum of Rs 491.41 crore approved for urgent repairs, renovation, and reconstruction of the infrastructure at Odisha International School of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT). The sanctioned amount will be spent between 2023-24 and 2027-28.
