Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer of Odisha-cadre Saurabh Garg, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, an order issued by the Personnel Ministry said.
The 1991-batch officer is currently serving as Principal Secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment.
Besides, Odisha-cadre IAS officer Santosh Kumar Sarangi has been given additional charge of Chairman, National Council for Teacher Education.
He is posted as Additional Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.
Sarangi will be back to Delhi even before the mandatory cooling off period.
Odisha-born IES officer of 1986-batch, Chandrashekhar Mohapatra, has been posted as Additional Secretary, GST Council Secretariat, Department of Revenue.
He is currently serving as Additional Secretary of Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
These were part of a bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the Centre on Thursday.
