Odisha Class X Supplementary Exam Results Declared; BSE To Expand Digital Evaluation Pilot Next Year

Kataka: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, on Wednesdat announced the results for both the 2026 Supplementary High School Certificate (HSC) Examination and the Odisha State Open School Certificate (SOSC) Examination.

Out of 5,760 candidates who sat for the supplementary HSC tests, 3,666 cleared the papers, registering an overall pass percentage of 63.64 per cent. Similarly, the State Open School examination recorded a 62.65 per cent pass rate, with 5,450 students passing out of the 8,698 who appeared.

The examinations were conducted across the state from July 2 to July 10, 2026, following announcement of the annual result on May 2.

Candidates can check their performance online via the official result portals, www.bseodisha.ac.in and www.bseodisha.nic.in. The board confirmed that students will be able to download their digital pass certificates starting August 17 through bse.odisha.gov.in.

This year’s evaluation process marked a major technical shift for Odisha’s school assessment system. BSE Odisha President Srikanta Tarai highlighted that the board implemented digital evaluation of answer scripts for the first time across these examinations. This technology-driven approach streamlined operations, cut back on required physical manpower, and enabled the board to complete the entire grading process within a single month.

Encouraged by the successful execution of this pilot, the board plans to expand the digital evaluation system to the regular Class X board examinations starting next year to modernise and speed up state-wide academic assessments.
