Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday announced compassionate assistance of Rs 15 lakh to any working journalist, who dies due to COVID-19 infection.
“In the wake of the outbreak of the COVID-19, the journalists are working hard to disseminate the awareness for the safety of the people. In this critical juncture, if a journalist dies of the virus, the state government will provide Rs 15 lakh ex-gratia to his/her family,” the Chief Minister said.
