Odisha CM Approves Rs 18.91 Cr Plan For Development Maa Budhi Thakurani Temple In Berhampur
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved a plan for the development and transformation of Maa Budhi Thakurani Temple in Berhampur city of Ganjam district.
The development work will be taken up under 5T initiative of the state government in two phases at an investment of Rs 18.91 crore. Naveen has directed that the work should be completed the work within the specified time frame, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a release.
Berhampur’s presiding deity Maa Budhi Thakurani is famous not only in Odisha but also in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. The shrine attracts a large number of devotees from both the states every day.
As part of this comprehensive development plan prepared by the state government, the temple will be beautified in Kalinga architecture style with a yajna kund, temple office building, boundary wall, garden, beautified entrance etc.
A hand wash point and a hall will also be developed which can be used for different functions. The development plan also includes construction of a room for the servitors, a kitchen and a Bhoga Mandapa along with beautiful lighting arrangements to enhance the beauty of the temple.
This apart, the approach road to the Budhi Thakurani Temple will also be developed for public convenience along with the creation of a parking place, auditorium, landscaping and tree planting.
