A team of surgeons on Thursday conducted the complex nine hour twin surgery to save the life of Jayanta Biswal, a teacher, with his young son Soumya Ranjan donating a portion of his liver.
The surgical team comprised surgeons, nurses and paramedics from Yashoda Hospital at Hyderabad and SUM Hospital. SUM has signed a MoU with Yashoda Hospital for undertaking organ transplantation.
