Odisha CM Flags Off KALIA Raths To Create Awareness On Scheme
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday flagged off Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) Raths. These 150 Raths will go to all panchayats of the state to create awareness on KALIA Scheme.
Of the total 150 Raths, 20 KALIA Raths were flagged off by the Chief Minister in the first phase. “These Raths will move around all the panchayats of the state and create awareness about the scheme among the farmers,” said Naveen.
The action was necessitated because till now, there is confusion on the scheme among the farmers. These Raths will clarify all the doubts of the farmers regarding the scheme.
Awareness will be created on different aspects of the scheme through LED screens and folk art.
After allegations of KALIA money debited from the beneficiaries’ bank accounts, the state government directed all the banks not to levy charges. State Agriculture Secretary Sourabh Garg on Saturday informed that the money transferred to eligible beneficiaries under the scheme will not be deducted as charges or installment from their bank accounts.
