Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday flagged off OSRTC operated air conditioned (Rajdhani) deluxe bus services from here, connecting the state capital to various district headquarters in Odisha.
Initially, 23 A/C Deluxe buses will ply in 11 routes:
Bhubaneswar-Phulbani, Bhubaneswar-Rourkela, Bhubaneswar- Bhawanipatna, Bhubaneswar-Bhanjanagar, Bhubaneswar-Rajgangpur (Via-Sundargarh), Bhubaneswar-Rajkhariar (Via-Balangir), Bhubaneswar- Gorumahisani (Via-Karanjia) and Bhubaneswar-Burla (Via-Sambalpur).
Rest of the districts will be covered very shortly, the Chief Minister said at the flagging off event here.
The buses will come laced with features such as free wi-fi, CCTV, mobile charging including GPS tracking. Drinking water bottles will be served onboard.
The tickets for Rajdhani Express can be booked online and through Mobile app on smart phones.
Besides, four VOLVO buses were launched connecting Bhubaneswar to Kolkata, Paradeep and Vijayawada.
At present, 429 OSRTC buses are operating in all the 30 districts and in 43 interstate route covering Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh.

OSRTC has distinction of plying more buses in Left Wing Extremist affected districts for the benefit of the common people. It has taken up construction of five new bus stands in places such as Jeypore, Balangir, Angul, Bamara and Odagaon, and has renovated 25 existing bus stands for benefit of the passengers. According to sources, 50 more bus stands will be constructed at block level.
