Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday launched a multi-dimensional pilot project for livelihood and income generation of the farmers in Nabarangpur district, via video conferencing at the Lok Seva Bhawan here.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the multi-dimensional project will help the farmers of Nabarangpur district to increase their skill and capacity leading to the higher productivity in horticulture, fisheries, poultry and animal husbandry and aromatic crops. For implementation of the pilot project, the state government has earmarked Rs 5.21 crore for 2019-20 financial year.
Naveen said that the project will be implemented in cooperation with 12 Research and Development (R&D) agencies under the CSIR, ICAR, ICMR and Department of Biotechnology in association with 15 line departments of the Odisha government.
