Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met President Droupadi Murmu and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi on Thursday and discussed key issues concerning the state’s development.
“I had the privilege of paying a courtesy call on Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji in New Delhi today. On this occasion, we discussed Odisha’s development projects and our vision for building a Samruddha Odisha,” Majhi said in a post on X.
The Chief Minister, who is on a four-day visit to Delhi, also met Railway and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Official sources said his discussion with Vaishnaw focused on expanding railway infrastructure, growing the semiconductor industry, and strengthening the IT sector in the state.
The meeting highlighted the Centre’s commitment to Odisha’s development, with initiatives aimed at improving connectivity and industrial growth.
Majhi also paid a courtesy visit to Union Housing & Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar as part of his ongoing engagements with Union ministers to advance Odisha’s development agenda.
The discussions on expansion of railway infrastructure expansion, semiconductor industry, and IT sector are expected to pave the way for significant progress in these areas and immensely benefit the economy of the state.
