Odisha CM Mohan Majhi Chairs 4th Cabinet Meeting; 5 Proposals Under Consideration
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is chairing an important Cabinet meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
The meeting began at 11 am.
Sources said that five proposals, pertaining to modalities of Subhadra Yojana and health, water resources and industries departments, are likely to be discussed.
This is the fourth cabinet meeting of the Mohan Majhi government and the second during the ongoing Budget session of the state Assembly. The government is likely to brief the Assembly about the decisions.
The government had earlier announced to launch Subhadra Yojana, which aims to provide a cash voucher of Rs 50,000 to women benificiaries, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday on September 17.
Notably, nine proposals were passed in the first two Cabinet meetings. These include special corpus fund of Rs 200 crore for a bouquet of initiatives to restore and promote ‘Odisa Asmita’, appointment of 18, 788 junior teachers, increase in daily wages, and proposal for international recognition for Cuttack’s Bali Jatra.
