An additional 40,000 vacancies are being targeted to be filled by June 2026, the CM said.

The state has created 107,926 jobs in both the government and private sectors during this period, reflecting its focus on addressing youth unemployment.

A total of 1,686 candidates received appointment letters across seven departments on Monday, of which 982 were in the Health & Family Welfare Department, 413 in Water Resources Department, 34 in Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department, 136 in Skill Development & Technical Education Department, 23 in Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department, 61 in Finance Department and 37 in Law Department.

Congratulating the new recruits, Majhi urged them to uphold integrity and transparency in their work.

“Your duty is to execute your responsibilities within the framework of government policies. Stay above corruption, work diligently, earn respect, and make integrity an integral part of your work culture,” he advised them.

CM Majhi said that serving the public, particularly the underprivileged, brings immense satisfaction and earns the goodwill of people, which he described as the “greatest asset” for public servants.
