Bhubaneswar: Ahead of this year’s civic body polls and the panchayat elections in 2022, BJD president and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday appointed 27 party men, including 10 ministers, as district observers.
The 10 ministers appointed as district observers are:

2. Prafulla Mallick–Bargarh
3. Sushanta Singh–Balangir
4. Bikram Keshari Arukha–Kandhamal
5. Niranjan Pujari–Angul
6. Dibya Shankar Mishra–Keonjhar
7. Pratap Jena–Balasore
8. Ranendra Pratap Swain–Bhadrak
9. Ashok Chandra Panda–Jajpur
10. Padmanabha Behera–Jharsuguda
Besides, the remaining observers for the 20 districts are:
1. Sanjay Das Burma–Nabarangpur and Rayagada
2. Chandra Sarathi Behera–Koraput and Malkangiri
3. Maheswar Mohanty–Ganjam
4. Purna Chandra Swain–Gajapati
