Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik To Visit Home Turf Ganjam Today; Check His Programme Schedule
Berhampur: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be on a day-long visit to Odisha’s Ganjam district on Sunday.
Besides distributing interest-free loans to self-help groups and ‘gram-kantak housing pattas’ (record of rights) to those who have been living on government land for generations, he will inaugurate projects worth around Rs 953 crore.
According to sources, Naveen will board a helicopter from Bhubaneswar airport at 10.15 am and land at the venue of the public meeting at Kabisuryanagar at 11 am. After laying foundation stones of different projects there, he would travel to Hinjili around 12 noon. At Hinjili, he will inaugurate 209 projects worth Rs 109.25 crore for Dharakote, Digapahandi, Hinjilicut, Kukudakhandi, Sanakhemundi and Sheragada blocks.
The chopper will then take him to Chhatrapur, where he will conduct a public rally around 3 pm before flying back to Bhubaneswar at 4 pm.
A senior police officer said security has tightened for the CM’s visit and 48 platoons of police will be deployed at the three meeting venues.
