Malkangiri: As part of the Mo Sarkar programme launched by the Odisha government, secretary to the Chief Minister (Transformation and Initiatives) V Karthikeyan Pandian visited Malkangiri district headquarters hospital on Wednesday.
Accompanied by director, National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Shalini Pandit and secretary, Finance, Ashok Meena, Pandian interacted with the patients about healthcare services being provided in the hospital.
Later, the team had a meeting with the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO), hospital superintendent and the doctors about the existing infrastructure and facilities in the hospital.
Malkangiri Collector Manish Agarwal and SP Rishikesh Dnyandeo Khilari were present.
Talking to the media after the meeting, the CDMO said that he apprised the team of the shortage of doctors and specialists in the hospital. He also told the team about the inadequate supply of drinking water to the hospital. “The team has assured us to look into these issues,” he added.
