Odisha Cong Moves OHRC Over Attack On PCC Chief Niranjan Patnaik
Bhubaneswar: The Congress on Thursday knocked the doors of Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) seeking action against police for their callousness in connection with the attack on OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik’s vehicle in Keonjhar.
A Congress delegation led by party spokesperson Nishikant Mishra met the OHRC and filed a petition. The petition also cited that Nitanjan’s personal security officer Rakesh Singh was also present when the attack took place.
Congress alleged that callous attitude of Keonjhar police led to such incident and demanded action against the police.
They also requested the government to facilitate adequate security to the OPCC president during his visits to any place in the State.
