Bhubaneswar: Congress Legislature Party leader Narasingha Mishra on Wednesday urged the state government to recommend the Centre for conferring Bharat Ratna posthumously on Madhusudan Das.
He raised the issue in Odisha assembly during the Zero Hour and expressed displeasure over government’s ‘lack of respect’ to Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das and Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das.
He also urged the government to expedite setting up of the proposed Odia University at Bakula Bana, closely associated with Gopabandhu Das, and revive the green cover of the place devastated by cyclone Fani.
