Cuttack: The special chit fund court in Odisha’s Cuttack on Thursday sentenced Sai Samruddhi Realcon India Ltd MD Sandeep Das to five years’ imprisonment for duping people to the tune of Rs 3.5 lakh.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Das and Rs 2 lakh on his firm. The court ruled that his jail term would be extended by a year if Das fails to pay the penalty amount.
