Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw another spike in COVID-19 cases with 2752 positive cases being reported in the last 24 hours, which pushed the affected tally past 84000 on Tuesday.
These cases have been reported from all 30 districts of the state, which saw a record 58,338 samples being tested on Monday.
According to the I & PR department, 1708 of them have been detected in quarantine centres while 1044 are local contact cases.
Khurda leads the tally with 423 cases followed by Cuttack (247), Jajpur (217), Ganjam (212), Rayagada (177), Koraput (174), Puri (144), Mayurbhanj (137), Balasore (129), Nayagarh (103), 101 each in Jagatsinghpur and Malkangiri, Kendrapada (97), Kandhamal (95), Gajapati (60), Bhadrak (58), Sambalpur (55), Sundargarh (44), 28 each from Bargarh and Keonjhar, Nabarangpur (27), Angul (23), Kalahandi (16), Jharsuguda (15), Balangir (14), Boudh (11), Nuapada (8), Deogarh (6) and one each from Dhenkanal and Sonepur.
The state has so far reported 84231 positive cases.
With 428 deaths and 56924 recoveries, Odisha now has 26826 active cases.
