Odisha COVID-19 Tally Crosses 15000 With 494 New Cases

Bhubaneswar: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha reached 15392 on Thursday as the state reported 494 new cases from 23 districts in the last 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 322 have been detected from quarantine centres while 172 are local contact cases.

According to I & PR department, Ganjam district reported the highest 246 cases followed by Khurda (64), Cuttack (38), Balasore (21), Nayagarh (16), Jajpur (15), Mayurbhanj (14), Kendrapada (11), 10 each from Sundargarh and Keonjhar, Nuapada (9), seven each from Puri and Bhadrak, four each from Sambalpur, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Koraput, Balangir (3), two each in Boudh and Kalahandi and one each from Angul, Jagatsinghpur and Rayagada.

With 77 deaths and 10,476 recoveries, Odisha now has 4813 active cases.

Odisha had reported 618 positive cases on Wednesday.
