Odisha COVID-19 Tally Touches 131382; Khurda Leads With 535, Over 200 Cases From 4 Other Dists

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha touched 131382 on Tuesday with an overnight addition of 3,490 new cases.

The last 24 hours also saw a further drop in samples testing to 41,275. Odisha had tested 45,165 samples on Saturday, after 50,393 and 50,663 on Friday and Thursday respectively.

Of the new cases reported from all 30 districts. 2094 are from quarantine centres. The remaining 1396 are local contact cases.

Khurda led the tally with 535 new cases, followed by Cuttack (376), Puri (217), Mayurbhanj (207), Rayagada (206), Jajpur (178), Balangir (110), Sonepur(107), Jharsuguda (103), Nuapada (102), Koraput (93), Balasore (92), Jagatsinghpur (91),  Bhadrak (89), 85 each in Kendrapada and Sambalpur, Kandhamal (84), 81 each in Bargarh and Dhenkanal, Ganjam (69), Sundargarh (64), Keonjhar (55), Gajapati (53), Nabarangpur (40), Kalahandi (39), Angul (38), Nayagarh (34), Deogarh (27), Boudh (25), and Malkangiri (22).

Another 102 cases are from state pool, the I & PR Department tweeted.

With 569 deaths and 99398 recoveries, Odisha now has 31362 active cases.
