Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha dropped below 400 on Friday as 365 more people, including 56 cases (15.34 per cent) below the age of 18 years, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 412 new cases on Thursday, 549 on Wednesday, 433 on Tuesday, and 425 on Monday.
According to the I & PR department, 212 of the new infections are from quarantine and 153 local contacts. Khurda district reported the highest 157 cases, followed by Cuttack (34) and Mayurbhanj (23). Six districts saw nil cases.

Besides, 37 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 66,610 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 0.54 per cent.
While the COVID-19 tally has touched 1040595, Odisha now has 4563 active cases.
