Odisha COVID Caseload Remains Below 4K For 4th Day; 2 Hotspot Districts Back In Yellow Zone
Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha remained below 4,000 for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday with 3,629 people testing positive for the virus during the last 24 hours.
According to the I & PR department, 2115 cases are from quarantine and 1514 local contacts. Among them, 515 are in the 0-18 years age group. Khurda district registered the highest 716 fresh infections, followed by Sundargarh (346) and Cuttack (329).

With these cases being detected from 66,702 samples, the test positivity rate stood at 5.44 per cent.
Odisha now has 35,306 active cases with only Khurda in the Red Zone with 8,981 active cases.
Amid a sharp fall in new cases and recoveries, Sundargh and Cuttack were back in the Yellow zone with less than 2,500 active cases. While Cuttack has 2,183 active cases, Sundargarh has 2,059. Jajpur, Sambalpur, Balasore and Nuapada are the other districts in Yellow zone with active cases between 1,001 and 2,500.
