Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha dropped below 3,000 on Saturday as 2917 of 71554 samples tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The test positivity rate stood at 4.07 per cent against 4.34 per cent the previous day when 3222 of 74225 samples were found infected. Amid the declining TPR, the number of tests has also decreased. The state had tested 74,000 samples on Wednesday, 75,649 on Tuesday and 75,649 on Monday.
According to the I & PR department, 1677 of the fresh infections are from quarantine and 1240 local contact cases.
Khurda reported the highest of 549 new cases, followed by Cuttack (422), Balasore (237), Jajpur (218) and Muyurbhanj (165).
