Bhubaneswar: After a gap of three days, Odisha saw a drop in daily caseload as well as test positivity rate (TPR), which stood at 4.53 per cent, as 2912 of 64255 samples tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.
The TRP and new infections were 5.25 per cent and 3650 respectively the previous day. The state has been reporting over 3000 cases for the last three days.
According to the I & PR department, 1,675 of the new cases are from quarantine and 1,237 local contacts.
Khurda reported the highest of 401 cases followed by Cuttack (382), Jajpur (292), Balasore (220) and Mayurbhanj (174).

With this, the state now has 33156 active cases. Khurda, Cuttack, Balasore and Jajpur continue in the Red Zone with more than 2500 active cases.
In TPR, five districts – Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Balasore and Jajpur – are in Red Zone in TPR. 18 in Green Zone with TPR less than 5 per cent.
