Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has reduced over 4,000 B.Tech seats in all the government and private engineering colleges in the state.
Sources in the Skill Development and Technical Education and Training department said that a total of 4,073 B.Tech seats were reduced. While 126 seats were reduced in eight government engineering colleges, 3,947 seats were reduced in 80 private engineering colleges.
The government took the decision after taking note of the large-scale vacancy in B.Tech seats in the recent past, the sources added.
