Bhubaneswar: Odisha DGP Abhay has directed Crime Branch (CB) to investigate into the alleged gang rape and forcible abortion of a 13-year-old girl at Biramitrapur in Sundargarh district.
A CB team has already left for Sundargarh to take charge of the investigation, the DGP informed on Tuesday.
He had suspended inspector in-charge (IIC) of Biramitrapur police station, Anand Chandra Majhi, in connection with the case on June 26.
