Bhubaneswar: A government doctor was arrested by the Airfield Police in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday for allegedly misbehaving with a woman AYUSH doctor.
The accused, identified as Kshyamanidhi Sethi, is reportedly posted as the medical superintendent at Kanas CHC in Puri district.
As per sources, the incident took place when the woman was returning home on her scooter after her duty. Sethi reportedly contacted her and requested for a lift to his residence.
It was alleged that he misbehaved with the woman and offered a promotion and a prime posting in exchange for a ‘one-night stand.’ He even allegedly threatened her with additional work if she refused.
The woman lodged a complaint at the Airfield Police Station, following which an investigation was launched. Based on preliminary probe, Sethi was arrested and a case was registered under various sections of BNS., police sources said.
