Odisha Elections: Nitin Gadkari Offers Prayer At Puri Jagannath Temple Before Launching BJP Campaign
Puri: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday visited Odisha’s Puri and campaigned for the saffron party candidates contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Soon after his arrival at the pilgrim town, Gadkari visited Jagannath Temple and offered prayers before the sibling deities in the 12th century shrine before attending election meetings.
The senior BJP leader proceeded to Krushnaprasad block to address an election meeting to seen people’s support for party’s Puri Lok Sabha candidate Sambit Patra and nominees for Assembly seats.
Earlier, Gadkari arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport Bhubaneswar (BPIA) around noon and left for Puri by a chopper. On his arrival at the Talabania helipad at Puri, he was given a rousing welcome by the party workers. Following this, Gadkari visited the Shree Jagannath temple and sought the blessings of the Lords.
Later, Gadkari addressed the public and appealed the people to vote for Sambit Patra for Puri Lok Sabha seat and BJP candidates under the Parliamentary constituency.
