Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths carried out raids on the properties of an assistant engineer at 11 places in Odisha on Thursday.
The raid was conducted on the allegation of acquisition of disproportionate assets by Santosh Kumar Das, Assistant Engineer, Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Baripada.
According to official sources, a team of Odisha Vigilance comprising 10 DSPs, 4 inspectors, and 30 other staff are conducting simultaneous searches at 11 locations in Bhubaneswar, Balasore and Mayurbhanj.
The raids are being carried out at the following locations:
- Four-storey building located on plot No. 2404/EB-502, Bhubaneswar
- Flat No. 105, Bijay Enclave, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar
- Under-construction building over plot No. LIG-1117 K-4, Kalinga Vihar, Bhubaneswar
- Four-storey building over plot No. 169, Bagbrundaban, Balasore
- House at Badhapal village in Baliapal of Balasore
- In-laws house at Pitina, Sadar, Balasore
- Rented House of son-in-law near LIC Colony, Balasore
- The native place of his son-in-law at Dudpal, Baliapal, Balasore
- Rented house at Bhanjpur, Baripada
- Office chamber at ITDA office, Baripada
- Rented house of his son at Baisinga in Mayurbhanj.
Assets unearthed so far:
1. Rs 13.6 lakh in cash
2. A 4-storey building at Bargarh, Bhubaneswar, worth Rs 56.62 lakh.
3. A 4-storey building at Balasore
4. A flat at Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
5. One half-constructed building at Kalinga Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
6. Three plots at Balasore.
7. A four-wheeler and 3 two-wheelers.
Searches are in progress, the release added.
