Bhubaneswar: People visiting Gopalpur will soon be able to use the boardwalk at the beach.
It is a wooden walkway across the sand.
The post on the official Twitter handle of Ganjam collector said, “Boardwalk at Gopalpur Beach. Very soon it will be available for Public…!!”
During ancient times, Gopalpur served as an important port for the seafarers of ancient Kalinga. It was an important military port during World War–I and was used by soldiers to embark on a journey to Burma.
The Odisha Tourism promotes the place with the tagline, “Where History Is Lost In Sands of Time”.
