Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC organised a special Football Festival under its Grassroots Development programme for the students of Shree Krishna International School on Monday.
More than 60 students, including 11 girls, from Class V to IX participated in the event. The students played seven-a-side matches after a preliminary coaching session by Odisha FC’s Grassroots coaches, Mahavir Nath, Aiswaryan Pillai and SK Shahanawaz Alam.
On behalf of the Club, Grassroots Manager Sayantan Ganguly and Assistant Grassroots Manager Suvam Das were also present during the event.
Speaking about the festival, Sayantan Ganguly said, “It’s great to see such an interest in football in the school. All the participants were really interested in the sport including their teachers and school authorities. Their Physical Education teacher Sumanta Kumar Rana is quite excited to field a girls’ football team from the school. I would like to thank the school authorities for their support for successfully organising this festival.”
