Berhampur: In a unique idea, the Ganjam district administration has advised people to use umbrellas to maintain social distancing.
“We request all people in Ganjam to use mask and umbrella while going outside. Mask will help to keep secure your mouth and nose and umbrella will help to main social distancing and also it will protect you from heat wave,” tweeted the official handle of the Ganjam Collector and District Magistrate.
Earlier, the district administration had banned the sale of paan, guthkha and other tobacco products in rural areas to stop the spread of coronavirus.
Ganjam hasn’t reported a single COVID-19 case so far.
