Sambalpur: The Odisha government will begin pool testing to identify COVID-19 patients at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) at Burla in Sambalpur district from Sunday.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kumar Das informed this after a meeting with senior doctors and medical staff at VIMSAR on Saturday.
The minister said the pool testing will be conducted in two shifts. There will be a total of 90 pool tests with 45 tests in each shift, he added.
He also said that there will be more number of tests as the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela has agreed to provide two machines.
