Odisha Fights COVID-19: 56 Hotels Identified In Bhubaneswar As Paid Quarantine Centres
Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has identified 56 hotels in the Odisha capital to serve as paid quarantine facilities. Initially, there were 22 hotels on the list for those returning from outside Odisha amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
The hotels have been divided into three categories – premium (9), executive (8) and budget (39). The BMC has fixed room rents at Rs 2500, Rs 1400 and Rs 900 per day for premium, executive and budget hotels, respectively.
All these hotels will have to strictly follow quarantine guidelines issued by the state government.
Besides the boarders, only health service providers and certified doctors will be allowed entry into these hotels. Trained service providers, certified by the hotel authorities, will be engaged to look after the guests.
The hotels will provide detailed information about the people staying in their premises to BMC authorities. As of now, around 500 people have opted for paid quarantine in Bhubaneswar.
