Odisha Fights COVID-19: OSMC Declares Incentive For Early Delivery Of Medicines
Bhubaneswar: Intensifying its drive to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the state-owned Odisha State Medical Corporation (OSMC) has declared extra incentive for early delivery of medicines and medical equipment.
At a press briefing here on Wednesday afternoon, chief spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi said that the OSMC will provide 50 per cent extra incentive for delivery in seven days, 25 per cent for delivery in 15 days and 10 per cent for delivery in 30 days.
Besides, the Corporation has also assured to bear the total cost of the transportation along with full payment within 24 hours of delivery.
Bagchi further said that the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) Ltd has been the first to respond to state government’s request and provide essential medical equipment like portable ventilators, masks and sanitizers.
The state government has already received the first consignment from the company, he added.
