Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has extended the deadline for government employees to submit property statement for the period January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, on the human resources management system (HRMS) portal till November 30.
Additional Secretary, General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Sashank Sekhar Dash has written to senior officials of all the departments and Revenue Divisional Commissioners, Collectors and District Magistrates informing them about the extension of the deadline.
“It has come to the notice of this department that a large number of employees are yet to file their annual property return by the dateline. After careful consideration, the government has decided to extend the time limit up to November 30, 2024, as one last chance to the defaulting employees to submit their annual property statement,” the official notification said.
The Additional Secretary has instructed the officials to make sure that the employees under their administrative control comply with the directive.
The Odisha Government Servants’ Conduct (Amendment) Rule, 2021, mandates all government employees (Group A to Group D) to make complete declaration of their assets, movable and immovable property, and their value as on December 31 every year, on or before January 31 of the succeeding year.
However, the January 31, 2024, deadline was initially extended till February 29 and then till March 16.
