Bhubaneswar: With the state government allowing the schools to perform Saraswati Puja on the premises this week, a top Health officer did not rule out the possibility of reopening of the educational institutions in a graded manner.
Speaking to media persons, here on Tuesday, Bijay Mohapatra, director, Health Services said the government has approved the department’s proposal of celebrating the Saraswati Puja in schools across state on February 5.
Stating that the government is keeping a close watch on COVID situation, he said a notification for reopening of the educational institutions may be issued soon.
He went on to add that there should not be any haste in reopening the public institutions and offices at a time. Those should be opened in a graded manner to prevent sudden surge in COVID cases, he added.
