Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Friday announced financial assistance (monthly pension) for the family members of Anganwadi and ASHA worker, who died while on COVID-19 duty in the state.
“The spouse/ next of kin of deceased Anganwadi Worker, who succumbs to COVID-19 in line of duty under active deployment by the State authorities, shall continue to receive Rs 7500 a month till the date he/she would have attained the age of 60 years had he/ she survived,” the official notification said.
Similarly, the spouse/next of kin of deceased ASHA working under Health and Family Welfare Department, who succumbs to COVID-19 in line of duty under active deployment by the state authorities, will continue to receive Rs 5000 a month till the date he/ she would have attained the age of 60 years had he/she survived.
Finance Department, in consultation with W&CD and Mission Shakti Department and H&FW Department, will issue detailed guidelines/orders in this regard, the notification added.
