Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has effected changes in the Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) scheme to ensure 4 career progressions/financial upgradations in the service period of a medical officer.
The Health and Family Welfare department, in a notification on Friday, said the government brought about the changes considering the long-standing demand of the medical officers in Odisha Medical and Health Services (OHMS).
“By invoking Rule 16 of ORSP Rules, 2017, the government has allowed 4 upgradations on completion of 6, 12, 18, and 24 years. Earlier, 3 career progressions were allowed under DACP on completion of 7, 14, and 21 years,” the notification read.
The years of service for career progression would be counted on the basis of the years of regular service from the direct entry level recruited through Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC).
Notifying the order, Secretary, Health and Family Welfare department, Shalini Pandit hoped that this change would bring about more commitment and dedication among the officers of medical community.
