Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday cleared three investment proposals worth Rs 6923.26 crore with the creation of 4638 new jobs.
A decision to this effect was taken at the 22nd High Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) meeting presided over by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Kharavela Bhawan here.
The Clearance Authority approved the proposal of M/s Thriveni Earthmovers Private Ltd for setting up of a 30 MTPA Beneficiation plant in two phases at Deojhar in Keonjhar district with a total investment of Rs 1426.75 crore. It will provide employment to about 884 people. It also approved the company’s proposal for expansion of the pellet plant capacity of 24 MTPA pellet plant in three phases at Bhitargarh in Paradip with an additional investment of Rs 3396.51 crore. The proposed plant will provide additional employment to 954 people.
It also cleared the proposal of M/s Odisha Metaliks Private Ltd for setting up of a 1.2 MTPA integrated steel plant along with 225 MW captive power plant at Nayagada in Keonjhar district with an investment of Rs 2100 crore. The proposed plant will employ 2800 people.
