Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday directed the district collectors and the chief district medical officers (CDMOs) to streamline the testing process of COVID-19.
In a letter, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Pradipta Mohapatra directed them to ensure that the social distancing norm is followed during collection of samples at the testing centres.
He also asked them to ensure that the people, from whom the samples are collected, remain confined to home till they test negative. Those, who test positive, should go for self-isolation.
Mohapatra also directed to ensure that the RT-PCR samples collected from the people should be sent to the laboratory for the test on the same day and the people informed about the test result at the earliest.
