Bhubaneswar: Taking note of the COVID-19 situation in Odisha, the state government has extended the closure of special schools till August 31.
This has been informed by the deputy secretary, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD), in a letter to all district social security officers.
Instructions have been given to the chief functionaries, principals and headmasters of all special schools to take necessary action in this regard.
Notably, the state government had earlier announced the closure of the special schools till July 31.
