Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has extended the last date for admission to vacant seats in different trades in ITIs till September 16.
The decision came after the Directorate General of Training under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship had on Monday revised the schedule for admission into course under Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS), a government statement said.
The vacant positions:
The Internet of Things (IoT) Technician Smart Agriculture, IoT Technician Smart Healthcare and the Information Technology (IT) trade under Centre of Excellence (CoE) have 10 vacancies.
The welder programme has 11 vacancies and Food Beverages & Guest Services Assistant trade has 11 vacancies.
With the Bhubaneswar Smart City project proposal topping the national challenge in 2016 and the project work gaining momentum, the smart trades at Government ITI near the Governor’s House has generated immense interests among students and among girls as well, the statement said.
Leading electric manufacturing firm Schneider Electric has given a proposal to the Principal of Government ITI, Bhubaneswar, to sponsor a “train the trainer programme” by giving training to some faculty members.
