Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday constituted a 14-member committee to suggest the modality for alternative evaluation of the cancelled Plus II exams.
The notification issued by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), which conducts the exam, said that the committee would suggest well-defined alternative objective criteria for assessing regular and ex regular examinees of the annual HS examination, 2021.
It will submit its report within 10 days, it added
The members:
Earlier in the day, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said that an expert committee would be formed within 15 days to finalise common evaluation criteria after reviewing the evaluation methods of CBSE and CISCE.
“After the expert committee submits its final report, we will immediately execute its recommendations and try to announce the results as early as possible so that our students will be able to participate in the national level entrance tests,” he said.
However, an alternative evaluation method in Odisha is problematic as no internal test for Plus II second-year students have been conducted.
